I did not see anyone suggest any different animations for shots so it is understandable why they have not changed them.

My main concern is, will you be able to bowl an AI batsman?? Seems impossible in C2005

Yep, it is, shame no one asked that, because it is a big concern for me. Hopefully we will be able to (for the first time) see LBWs, edges and bowleds because of wrong shot selection instead of timing like in previous versions

Pah. Same old same old. I'm quite disappointed. No change in bowling actions, which quite frankly are terrible in 2005. Batting might be a bit better, and the blokes general attitude was disappointing. Compare it to AOC, the game seems a bit limp really.

This game looks mighty impressive. The answers they have given us are making me really excited. There seem to be many touches to the game which we haven't seen in previous versions, which make the game more complete. The have concentrated, it seems, a lot more on the gameplay rather than the itty bitty things which are almost like add-ons to a game. I am really looking forward to EA Sports Cricket 07.

It will be a big success if the gameplay is improved. lets hope everything is correct what Justin said in the interview. As I said before, people buy this game ... if you buy EA will realize they have a Cricket game market and next time they will release a better game.

Correction punk sk8r: Many hard feelings, until they get the sodding thing right. I know some people seem excited about what has been proposed, but do you really think they care about such a completely unimportant market for them. The ideas seem to be mild covers, and excuses have been given for the things that really needed changing, namely, the stupid bowling actions. I'd rather have EA over codies anyday, but thats not saying much. Rant over.

If no body pirated the game, maybe they would have a big enough market to "care" about the series

Why?
If I can just recount the difference between the companies with regard to customer relations:

EA

Send us information and then tell us we can't release it for 10 weeks yet let other websites release it in the meantime
Constantly shunt us around between departments with no-one taking responsibility
Ask for feedback after every game and then totally ignore it. "We couldn't manage to do it this time after all" is a very tiresome excuse
Promise the earth pre-release and go very quiet when their lies are exposed afterwards
I could go on...

Codies

Keep in regular e-mail contact with us
Have actually listened to what the major problems were in the last release and fixed them
Have introduced online play - top of every wishlist e-mail sent to EA for the last 6 years
Invited members of this forum to see how the game was being made and talk to the designers
Will actually offer support post-release if there are any issues with the game

I understand that EA are a bigger company than Codemasters and that cricket isn't a topline for them but the sooner people start realising the EA are doing a shoddy job and not buying their game for the sake of it the better. I've got no intention of buying C07 and frankly the more people who refuse to the quicker EA might realise that what they are doing is nowhere near good enough.

EA must have some sort of marketing strategy which is incredibly devious, or stupid

There marketing strategy will be the same as always for Cricket 07

Release no information and rely on people buying it because there isn't any competition. Then ignore everyone when it turns out to be poorly programmed.
