Somali woman stoned for adultery

BBC News : Somali woman stoned for adultery

"A 20-year-old woman divorcee accused of committing adultery in Somalia has been stoned to death by Islamists in front of a crowd of about 200 people.

A judge working for the militant group al-Shabab said she had had an affair with an unmarried 29-year-old man.

He said she gave birth to a still-born baby and was found guilty of adultery. Her boyfriend was given 100 lashes. "

Sudan: Women Sentenced To 20 Lashes For Wearing Pants

A similar type of incident, though a bit old.

Well she shouldn't have cheated in the first place then should she? Silly woman, she knows the culture and religion she lives in, and clearly knew the consequences.

In all honesty though, it's not a good thing to happen but it's the culture in those countries and it's not gonna change rapidly. The world isn't like a field full of daffodils where people live in happiness with equality and everyone loves each other.

Something that I actually think is worse than that is Taser gun used on 10-year-old girl who 'refused to take shower' - Telegraph

Right thing happen if she has done adultery.
She must have to know that it's one of the worse deed in Islam after killing.
This is not a culture but a Shria Law in Islam, sadly not implement in Pakistan in its true sense.

Now hang on. That's a bit far. For example my ex cheated on me and whilst I wasn't happy, I wouldn't want her stoned. That would just be barbaric and frankly there are millions more women out there and all those involved were young.

Human beings are meant to be civilised and developed, yet this sort of thing just makes some of us look no better then animals

Whatever she might have done, she was still a human. And stoning a human being to death is a barbaric, savage-like act and the perpetrators should be thrown behind the bars immediately. How can you support such type of deeds! Religion has blinded your eyes like this?

Very true.

And what happens to the bloke? And what happens in the situation that the women is forced into a situation?

In another religion a man makes a profound statement: "He who is without sin, cast the first stone"! I wonder how many of us would be able to pass judgement in that case. I certainly would not be able to.

And to those who come on here with there macho "she had it coming to her" attitude, what if it is your own sister? Or someone you love? Will you be so quick to want to have "justice" done?

I can not bear to think what that must have felt like for this poor frightened girl and it sickens me to the bones when people so flippantly "celebrate" that as some kind of step forward for humanity. Puke, utter, utter puke.

There is lot of things happening in this world which is actually barbaric but we didn't open our mouth over there, you know what I am talking about.
Rules are rule, you should not do that deed which leeds the authorities to take such act.
DO you think adultery is making us civilized, research about it in those society where this is openly accepted.
I know some of you will be astonished but you didn't know about the future outcome.

religion allow us where to give punishment and where to not but under conditions,if she was forced to do that act then she must not be punished but the man who forced him must be punish but if she desirably involve in the act then its a right punishment.

Yeah, sure. Women will be suppressed by men forever in countries like Sudan, Somalia etc. They will be lashed if they wear pants, they will be flogged in front of everybody if they don't abide by those sh!t Shariyah laws, they will be beaten if they dress properly, they will be stoned to death...oh wow! Not to forget that the rapist will get away, but the victim will be murdered, even if the girl is just 13 years old. What a great world to live in, eh? And besides, can you tell me why was it such that the women was murdered, but his partner was set free with just some minor punishment (compared to the punishment the girl was given)? Fanatics like you have made the lives of women miserable in these places of the world.

I really don't know the exact matter but if the partner was an unmarried man then his punishment is 100 lashes but if he was also married with some one he will also be stoned to death.
This logic is pretty clear, when you are married you have to be loyle to your partner instead of making sexual contacts with other man or woman

dear Highlander, one thing I must tell you if you don't know about the situation and complexity of laws you must not comment on it harshly, think about the situation research about the laws and then comment on any matter.

Being stoned to death is a fate nobody deserves. How you can even justify it is testament to what a barbaric and savage culture you are from.

I literally feel like puking, could not believe that someone who is obviously mildly educated would find the practice of stoning acceptable.
