Hussey should be the first person dropped but, like Hayden, he will survive another two years after his century in the final test.

Full strength or not we should easily dispose of the Windies.

yep with full team of weak team, that you said is true.
that why i wonder Why people are so Upset with the Old guys Not playing.
I think If the young Boys, of the west Take over, adding a few more talented West Indies Player, by kicking out some of the player who were a Waste VS Bangladesh and ICC trophy, like Reifer, Tino best amounts Others.
And try to Rebuild a Fresh new Team, I know it will take a While, but these young boy are talented, and West Indies have alot, but 80% of talented Player isn't getting any chance into the west Indies, When the likes of Chris Gayle and Company are there.
To be Honest, these young boys didnt do bad in the ODI ICC trophy. We have seen the Old team do worst.
I wish many people would see this, that it doesnt make a Different, if it's Chris Gayle or one of the young boys.
These young boy still made tam work for there runs, and I am sure having them play for 1-2 years they can Develop into good Players.

Taylor will rip the Aussies apart I think. Hopefully the full strength side will be back to make this a fighting contest.

My dad will be in Australia during this time on a business trip. Maybe he can catch the Sydney test and hook me up with some autographs...

Agree with this. There is no reason to keep him around apart from pleasing crowds. We have a great chance to develop some new talents before the 10/11 Ashes and hopefully the selectors see that a series against the Windies is a great way to blood new players.

I really hope that if the West Indies send a weakened side, that Australia plays an under 30(ish) team. From the Ashes squad: rest Ponting, Katich and Lee. Drop Hussey and Clark. Have Haddin and Marcus North as your oldies, something like:
1. Jaques/Hughes/Rogers
2. Jaques/Hughes/Rogers
3. Watson
4. Clarke (c)
5. North
6. Klinger/White/Voges/Ferguson
7. Haddin (vc/wk)
8. Johnson
9. Hauritz
10. Siddle
11. Hilfenhaus

Other squad bowlers: Bollinger and McKay/Magoffin (in Stuart Clark role)

Why would we suddenly start resting players like Katich who haven't played since the final Ashes test? I can't under the logic in resting a test only player. We should also be resting NO players no matter who strong or weak the Windies are.

Hussey should also be swapped with Clarke and come in at 5 if he isn't going to be dropped because Clarke at 5 is such a waste and he should be taking leadership and batting with the captain as much as he can.

Same.

The Windies will be lucky to post 250 on any pitch on any Australian track.

Under-rate Jerome Taylor at your peril. He'll put together one spell of brilliance at least. The bloke's ridiculously inconsistent, as is Fidel Edwards, but get them 2 both firing, with Roach and possibly Tonge as 1st change and you've got a potentially destructive bowling attack if they're in decent form. I see the Windies skittling Australia out cheaply at least once on tour, if they've got their strongest XI out anyway. Don't see them winning a Test, but don't write them off. Look what happened to England.

Taylor is a quality bowler and in Aussie conditions can surely get the ball to talk.

I mean come on, you guys struggled against Ishant Sharma!

Even New Zealand managed to do that, I think the Windes will have no problem scoring at least 250.

They'll win at least one test in Australia, mark my words

And you guys got cleaned up by Michael Clarke - twice. What is your point?

Oooh! Oh no he di'int! Oh wait, yes he did!

To make this post useful, I still think Australia will win the Test series 3-0 unless rain gets in the way.
