Really hoping the Windies bowl first though, would love to see Taylor and Roach do well early on and knock a few Aussie's over Or in turn see the Windies put in and Gayle bash Johnson (just Johnson though as I actually like Siddle) around the park. This cracked me up though: Quote:

From all reports Roach bowled really well pretty much the entire innings of the QLD game (he did drop of at the end apparently). Jerome Taylor's shown in the past what he can do in 30 minutes of cricket also.

And the West Indies definitely have better fast bowlers than England.

Plus we have home ground advantage.

Roach is a better bowler then both Harmison (who's rubbish) and Onions. I wouldn't say this attack is better then England's overall, because Swann is also a very good bowler. But on their day I'd back this attack to be more lethal, although if Edwards was playing this would help a lot more.

Thats the reason he wasn't even offered a contract by the WICB. While guys who arent even at his level got a contract for playing for the WI during the strike. His own fault really, I really like Fidel but he screwed this one up big time. Who knows if he didn't play in the Champs League he might have been fit for this series.

I would love for the WI to win the series but I know that will be really hard. All I really want from the WI is competitive cricket during this series. I want the team to put up a good fight even when things arent going their way and to put in the effort that is expected at this level of cricket. If they can do that then other things will follow. The team showed good signs in the past 2 years or so, it looked like they were starting to turn the corner and that's when the strike came about and undid the hard work.

| U19 Cricketer Member Since: Feb 2009 Location: New South Wales National Team: Australia Domestic Team: New South Wales | How short are the memories of those bagging Johnson? He played poorly in the Ashes, hell the entire team played poorly in the Ashes, but last summer Johnson was far and away our best bowler against a very strong South African side. | ||
