While we had them they were probably the most effective pair of Overseas players. Some clubs had 1 player that was maybe better but never 2. Look at the replacements we got last season though. Henderson and Bravo. Henderson was ok he did what he said on the tin but Bravo was a waste of time. I'd have prefered we played our homegrown talent.

I agree, I also don't like signing older players from other counties as they can also block homegrown talent.

And ye Kemp was awesome 55 ball hundred?

Ganguly was an absolute arse at Lancs. He couldn't care less about the team and it was all about him whenever he played.

I've just realised that i disagree on the Kolpak rule. to be honest i wasn't that bothered but then i rememberd Ackerman. He's now mediocre and after his season i was surprised not to see him in a south african shirt

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I was mightily impressed with Warne. Not for his on-pitch performances (I expected them to be awesome) but for how he represented Hampshire. When they came to Kent he stayed around for ages after the match signing stuff for kids.

Warne can go a little crazy though in trying to contrive games, especialy on the last day against Lancs last year.

I really don't know what he expected us to do then. Why would we declare and have to spend the evening session fielding?

I agree with these players that hearts are not in it, prime example being Ganguly. The opposite of that was Astle last year, you could tell it was hurting him inside not being able to help the team too much. But as he said when he announced his retirement, he'd been fighting against his retirement for months before.

try the bbc site(bbc.co.uk). you should find on some of the local sites radio stations theres cricket on but I don't really use it that often so i'm not sure how much they cover. On the radio leicester one they covered the twenty20 quarter finals though and the first game of the season.

I think you can listen to the audio feed from all over the world, they cover quite a few matches. Last season BBC London covered every ball of every game for Surrey and Middlesex.

Here's a direct link to the BBC counties page for you

Also answering a previous question here, The C&G trophy will now be known as the Friends Provident Trophy. The format of the competition will be tweaked too, with the introduction of semi-finals.

Friends Provident sounds familiar. Did they sponsor Southampton in the past?

Good to hear about the semis too.
