yep. i'm not a mongia fan so i don't mind seeing him go although he was good for us but if we get Asif then with Amjad and Broad we'll have a strong attack. also i think this is the last season you can have 2 overseas players (or the one before last, can't remember) so i don't know who we would keep

worse less skilled players so it will be difficult to improve against poor quality opposition

Or better as it'll give more chance for Englans youth to get experience. When in some teams last year they'd have 2 overseas players then about 3 more who weren't eligible for England it's stupid.

I think going down to 1 overseas player is set for 2009 iirc.

Personally I think having 2 geniune overseas players that can, and have, played international cricket is a good thing. It's the kolpak players they need to sort out, as they don't bring as much to the game as an international standard batsman or bowler.

I think the reasoning behind reducing overseas players to 1 is mainly because clubs found it hard to find 2 overseas players of quality that were available for most of the season. I have no problem with overseas players playing in the english season, it brings variety and also interest plus younger players in the sides can learn from their experience. Sub standard overseas players I can do without though.

I love overseas players because it attracts bigger audiences to games which is what we need.

Isn't it from 2008?

Talking of overseas players, if he plays a lot then Murali could have a massive impact on our season.

On overseas players I'm looking forward to seeing next season, well, its good to see Vaas back in county cricket as a overseas player at Middlesex. Also Younis Khan at Yorkshire. I'm also looking forward to seeing Kaneria and Nel at Essex.

Wow just seen that Warwickshire have signed Sangakarra today. Good deal for them.

Is that just becuase of Kemp and Hall ? Try having Ganguly, as Lancs, Glamorgan and the might Northants will testify.
