| National Board President AKA: Karl Member Since: Feb 2007 Location: Manchester | Everyone will say this is another choke, but the simple fact is Pakistan were the better side today. Afridi is one of the most exciting players in the world and the most important person for this Pakistan team, he fired big time today with the bat and the ball, he was by far the best batsman today, and is the only bower to finish with an economy under 5. Fantastic performance from him. | ||

| ICC President AKA: Sai Member Since: Apr 2003 Location: USA National Team: INDIA Domestic Team: Chennai SuperKings, Tamil Nadu | Congragulations to Pakistan. Wonderful stuff this! Afridi was brilliant, but Umar Gul under pressure situations, he delivered with priceless tight overs. SA choked again!!! How many times do they do it? Well done Pakistan, qualified for the final twice in a row. Maybe this time, you guys should win it. I will support Pakistan this time around (whoever comes to the final from the other semis) | ||

| Battrick Tournament Host Member Since: Jan 2005 Location: South Africa National Team: South Africa Domestic Team: Chevrolet Diamond Eagles, Kent | How To Choke For Dummies - Vol 5? It's actually getting pretty funny now, our team is destined to not win another tournament. Afridi was the main destroyer, explosive batting and then his bowling with the key wickets. Our bowlers really weren't at their best today and it showed, although the batsman should have done better. Even if Morkel got to face more deliveries I don't think he could have pulled it off, he doesn't like spinners and Gul was bowling awesomely. Oh well, onto the next tournament and semi-final exit! ![]() | ||

Well done Pakistan, I think, given the circumstances, you guys needed this more than us. Oh well, hopefully Bafana Bafana can do us proud on Saturday. | ||

| Staff member AKA: Chez Member Since: Sep 2005 Location: England National Team: England Domestic Team: Lancashire | Having watched this, I agree with many people here in that it wasn't really a choke from South Africa, Pakistan performed to their best as we know they can. The spin bowling in the middle overs, obviously particularly by Afridi, was very good in restricting the South Africans and then the big overs had Gul bowling perfectly for the situation. It was the best performance Pakistan have put on in the whole tournament and I don't think any team in the competition could have beaten them today. Whether they can do it again in the final is another thing altogether! | ||

| ICC Board Member AKA: Big Poppa Member Since: Apr 2009 National Team: New Zealand Domestic Team: RCB,KKR,DC | Tell you what,i think SA deserved to lose this match because of their cowardly batting! umer gul was obviously bowling 6 yorkers in an over and these proteas really should have attempted the scoop shot but they didn't! they are starting to consistently let their fans down big-time just like england do in their trademark unlikely bizzare fashion! Whatever happened to AB daredevilliers! Why isn't afridi better than vettori(asked this last week as well)? He obviously has been bowling better than dan in well....the last 10 + games! He didn't get lucky. All the batsmen struggled to pick his variations!! And yeah, are these proteas cursed or something like that to never win a semi-final? Pakistan deserved to win this though. | ||
