Capello came out today and said that he wants Raul to lead the team. So he wants to keep his job after all .

IMO, Cannavarro is the man to replace Hierro (if that is at all possible ). Centre backs haven't been Madrid's strongest position in recent years, and Cannavarro is the best in the business. Hopefully this is the last piece of the puzzle for Madrid (Kaka would help too)!

The final piece in the puzzle for real is a kick up their own butts so they know there not the best anymore.

The man is still a legend amongst the Madrid faithful.

Dunno about Bolton though, think even I can inspire them .

Well we did finish 2nd last season in the league, which I dont think is too bad you know. Even during these three poor seasons, we've still atleast managed to get into the KO stages of the CL, and have always finished in the top 4 in the league.
Yes,but the way you and fellow supporters go on about them you'd have thought they'd won every trophy that they are in the running for.

It's great to see such loyalty in a player these days, especially with a team like Man Utd chasing your signature.

Yes Torres's loyalty is to be commeneded...Reminds me of another great player who just signed a four year deal...Loyalty is something that i believe is missing in football,it needs to make a comeback!~

Apart from his commendable loyalty towards his club, Torres would undoubtedly also have felt that at Athletico he's their star striker (post the world cup) whereas in a top club he'll be just another amongst many other stars, thereby probably getting less playing time.

You never know, he could really love this club and never leave. Just like Mat Le Tissier. Although i'm not suggesting for one minute that they are as good as each other

He has one year left on his contract, if he was really loyal he would've signed a new one.

When 6 months are left on it (Around Jan next year) any club can talk to him.

I'm pretty sure he'd be one of the first on any team sheet though. It is great to see a player with some club loyalty though, there are so few these days.
