Half the defense was asleep at that freekick, not just Roberto Carlos.Great signings for Barca who have looked weakest at the back. With these signings they will be very hard to stop in any match.

Yadda! Yadda! the age old transfer announcements. If they are serious on getting van Horseface, let them suck it up and pay. I cant understand why Bayern are calling out like a hooker to get his sign.

If he plays he will be captain. Irrespective of whether Guti is playing also or not.

Raul didn't play much last year because of his injury. Raul's place in the starting 11 is pretty much secure (Capello would be shot if he doesn't start). Nobody questions Raul's leadership and determination and he should have a great year. Guti was the fill-in captain along with Casillas and Roberto Carlos when Raul was out hurt.

That is one thing I agree on. We should have kept Hierro for maybe another year atleast. He was the iron man of our defence, and captained our team to two Champions League and two La Liga victories.
The man is still a legend amongst the Madrid faithful.

Dunno about Bolton though, think even I can inspire them .

Well we did finish 2nd last season in the league, which I dont think is too bad you know. Even during these three poor seasons, we've still atleast managed to get into the KO stages of the CL, and have always finished in the top 4 in the league.
