IMHO if you feel that your story should have PC members involved as selectors etc then clearly your story isn't good enough.

You can run a league as a story by writing like what you do in a story.

Mods, is it necessary to open separate threads for every month for sotm? Why don't we manage it in one thread?

I reckon to help get the story forum back to how it used to be (i.e vaguely good) we should introduce a system where a member can only create, say 2 new stories every 3 months. This way, it stops people constantly starting and stopping stories and means they can actually improve. I also reckon all threads should need approval before being created and if the mod thinks the person is unlikely to get past a couple of pages he should not approve it.

Not if all threads need approval, they won't have anywhere to post They can then bugger off back to the 07 Downloads forum

I must say the quality of them has gone down over the last year which is disappointing.

Seeing the current stories (some of them), I feel ashamed to call them stories really. Still, some good stories are going on but the problem is many of the good story writers are grown-ups now and get only limited time to update them. I'm trying my best to keep my story to the level it was earlier if not more. I hope something is done really as people just start stories and turn a blind-eye to them after a few updates.

I like the idea of Tom. There have been few members who have been starting similar stories compared to their previous one's and they promise that i will continue this story for a longer period though their story dies after 2 or maximum 3 weeks. User2010 seems to be concentrating on his story very much it seems that his story will run for a long time. If he can continue a story on Bangladesh for a long time then why can't other people continue their story with bigger teams ex-Aus,Ind,SA etc. For me the best stories of the forum at the moment are Surendar's stories,India's Journey To WorldCup and Born to Fight for Success, An Untold Story! User2010's Go tigers go-A Bangladesh Story. TheGreemSim's new story also looks promising. First story which is India's Journey To WorldCup is a great example for all of us to see that how long a story can run its been running for more than 3 and a half years and still Surendar enjoys updating it. My idea would be if any one create's more than 2 stories in 3 months then he should get an infraction and 1 week's ban.
