Thanks guys Series finale today and then we are going to start another series with new teams. Any suggestions?

Hmarka added 9 Minutes and 10 Seconds later...

3rd Twenty20 Preview:

The 3 match series is tied 1-1 going into the final match.

Form guide (last 5 matches verses gougie, most recent 1st)
LeftArmFast - LWLLW

Watch out for:
-Harbhajan Singh, who returned figures of 4/41 off 4 overs, phenomenal for spinners in AC09
- Y Khan, has not gotten going yet this series and will be looking to make his mark

Team news:
Pakistan once again will field an unchanged side that won the 1st match comfortably and came within 3 runs of the 2nd match.

Pakistan/LeftArmFast (probable): 1 S Butt, 2 K Akmal (w/k), 3 Y Khan, 4 S Malik (c), 5 M ul Haq, 6 S Afridi, 7 Y Arafat, 8 A Razzak, 9 U Gul, 10 S Akhtar, 11 S Ajmal

India/Gougie (probable): 1 V Sehwag, 2 G Gambhir, 3 VVS Laxman, 4 S Tendulkar, 5 Y Singh, 6 MS Dhoni (wk/c), 7 H Singh, 8 I Pathan, 9 Z Khan, 10 L Balaji, 11 I Sharma

Pitch and conditions:
A Day 5 wicket at Colombo should suit the spinners. The overcast sky might help some movement in the air as well. Lots of 1s and 2s expected as Colombo is one of the larger grounds in the Ashes Cricket world. Patience and innings building will determine the winner here.

Stats and Trivia:
2 + 2 = 4

The fans arrive in Colombo, ahead of what should be a thrilling final match in the series.

Will Yuvraj Singh take to the Pakistani spinners again?

I was thinking AUS v N.Z or S.A v ENG, but open to any other ideas, and are we keeping the 4 overs of spin for the new series.

SA vs Eng sounds good actually. I honestly have no opinion on the 4 overs of spin. Could live with or without it. Lets see how the 3rd 2020 goes and if its another close cracker then I say we keep the spin.

Yeh i say stick with it, makes it alot more tactical having to fit the 4 overs of spin in.

Spin bowling in AC09 is ridiculously easy to hit. A good player will easily score 15-20 runs an over consistently and if the bowling is poor then its very easy to hit close to 30 an over.

Most people online never bowl a spinner because of this. Gougie and I are just incorporating 4 overs of required spin in each match.

3rd Twent20 International (12th 2020 of Diary)

3rd Twenty20 International

@ Colombo Cricket Ground

Lets go to the toss.

Pakistan win the toss and chose to bat.

Pakistan field an unchanged side.
Pakistan/LeftArmFast: 1 S Butt, 2 K Akmal (w/k), 3 Y Khan, 4 S Malik (c), 5 M ul Haq, 6 S Afridi, 7 Y Arafat, 8 A Razzak, 9 U Gul, 10 S Akhtar, 11 S Ajmal

India bring in Harbhajan Singh for Yusuf Pathan
India/Gougie: 1 V Sehwag, 2 G Gambhir, 3 VVS Laxman, 4 S Tendulkar, 5 Y Singh, 6 MS Dhoni (wk/c), 7 H Singh, 8 I Pathan, 9 Z Khan, 10 L Balaji, 11 I Sharma

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Akmal 3(3) got run out taking a risky 2 in the 1st over. Butt 3(8) caught in the covers lofting in the 2nd over. A torrid start for Pakistan 7/2 in 2 overs. A lucky break as S Malik dropped in the 3rd over. 28/2 in 6 overs as Malik and Khan bat carefully. Harbhajan on in the 9th over and Malik immediatly digs in with 3 consecutive boundries. Pakistan not wanting Harbhajan to settle. 65/2 in 10 overs. 50 up for Malik in the 12th over. 103/2 in 13 overs. 50 for Younus Khan in the 16th over. 160/2 in 16 overs. S Malik 84(52) out in the 18th over trying to hit big. Tight 19th over by Khan. Younus Khan 75(55) and Misbah 0(1) fall in the last over.

Pakistan (LeftArmFast) 183/5 in 20 overs
S Malik 84(52)
Younus Khan 75(55)
--------------------
I Sharma2/26 (4.0)
L Balaji 1/17 (4.0)
Z Khan 1/24 (4.0)

17 runs off the 1st over and India were right on track, Gul not so much. Sehwag 2(3) fell in the 3rd over to Razzak. Good change by Pakistan taking Gul out of the attack. 43/1 in 6 overs and the match is still anyones to win. S Tendulkar 11(10) falls before the 10th over but Laxman nearing his 50. Yuvraj 5(9) comes and goes, 64/3 in 10.3 overs. Ajmal on in the 12th over, Laxman 59(54) reaches his 50 off the 1st over of spin and falls in the same over. Akhtar picks up Gambhir 1(2) in the next over and India in trouble 89/5 in 13 overs. Ajmal picks up I Pathan 7(4) in his 2nd over. Harbhajan run out for 5(2), just not his day. Dhoni 14(11) bowled by Gul and its all but over for India. 109/8 in 15 overs. Z Khan 0(1) out to Ajmal, a great showing by the spinner.

India (gougie) 121 all out in 15.4 overs
VVX Laxman 59(54)
MS Dhoni 14(11)
------------------
S Ajmal 4/41 (2.4)
Y Arafat 2/18 (3.0)
