It was actually McCullum, thanks for that, have fixed the match report.

Sure just be sure to arrange a match with me on here, nothing bugs me more than PSN messages that say "match?"

9th 2020

verses gougie

@ Edgebaston Day 5 Overcast

Preview: This should be a very close match, gougie is easily one of the best players on ps3 and we are pretty evenly matched. In our last meeting gougie comfortably defended a small target to win.

LeftArmFast won the toss and chose to bowl.

India (gougie) 114/9 in 20 overs
Laxman 51(30)
Yuvraj 26(24)
Gambhir 19(40)
--------------
K Mills 3/13 (3.0)
J Franklin 3/25(4.0)
I Butler 2/23 (4.0)

O'Brien and Butler bowled superbly to restrict India to 16/1 in the powerplay.
Gambhir 19(40) fell in the 9th over but along with Laxman got India to 41/2 at the 10 over mark. Yuvraj picked up the pace after Gambhir's departure with a huge six off Franklin. Laxman brought up his 50 off 28 balls in the 14th over only to fall for 51(30) the next over. However that only brought Tendulkar to the crease and at 99/3 in 15.1 India look in a good position to attack. Yuvraj 26(24) fell trying to smash a slower ball from Mills over mid wicket. Very next ball Dhoni caught at short fine leg for a Golden Duck. Mills on a hat trick and turning the game New Zealands way. Pathan falls for a golden duck as well the next ball but its a new over. 3 wickets in 3 balls and Mills will be on hat trick at the start of his next over. Epic collapse as another wicket falls in the Franklin over. 5 wickets have fallen in the last 3 overs. Mills back on to see if he can get his hat trick, and Balaji is lbw! Hat trick for Mills!. India struggle to 114/9 in 20 after being 99/3 at one stage.

New Zealand(LeftArmFast) 97 all out in 14.4 overs
J Franklin 32*(10)
P Fullman 25(11)
B McCullum 20(32)

Guptil 0(2) fell for a duck in the 1st over. Ryder followed suit for 1(3). NZ in trouble again during the powerplay, Ross Taylor also gone for duck. 4/3 in 2.4 overs. McCullum and Oram at the crease, up to these two to get some sort of control over the innings. Oram out for 7(19), run rate climbing to almost 8.
Fulman comes in and hits 4 boundries in an over off Goni, NZ need 61 off 10 overs. McCullum falls 20(32) NZ on their way to defeat. Peter Fulman out next over. Need 59 from 52 with 4 wickets left. Mills run out for duck. Butler bowled, NZ are done for. Franklin just hit 6 boundries in an over! NZ need 20 runs to win off 6 overs with 1 wicket left! O B'rien LBW and NZ lose.

Gougie wins by 17 runs

You were easily on track, needing just three an over.
Just wickets in hand is why you lost.

Yea I really threw it away with all those ducks in the middle order. If I had just one more batsman to accompany Franklin I could have at least gotten home.

Will try to work on shuffling the top order. Guptil has 2 fails in a row there, might think of letting Ryder open but he is very slow in the game and costs me lost of missed doubles.

India Vs Pakistan 2020 Series

India (gougie) Vs Pakistan (LeftArmFast)

The only 2 teams to win the ICC World Twenty20 meet again in a 3 match series to be hosted in the subcontinent.

The Opponent:
-Gougie the number 2 ranked player on PS3 in wickets taken and runs scored. Historically my toughest opponent. I might have the slight edge in overall matches won but in the last 5 played, Gougie is comfortably ahead. Bats very sensibly, never plays the risky shot early and takes the easy single. Builds an innings and keeps wickets in hand always. Bowling wise maintains a tight line and length and rarely gives free-hits.

The Rules
- 3 Twenty20 Internationals
- Matches to be played the week of November 23rd-29th
- Each team must bowl 4 overs of spin.
- No Restrictions on field settings

The Venues:
-Eden Gardens, Kolkata
-Colombo Cricket Ground, Colombo (Neutral)
-National Stadium, Karachi

1st match Preview to follow.
