The argument that Australia and New Zealand haven't had the WC for a long time is valid, for me. But trying to say that better quality cricket will be played there is just using erratic reasoning.

I think the world cup can be hosted in my backyard, all the goodies promised. At least it will make me a millionaire.

Put it simply Aus should get it this time and Asia next time round. If the ICC didn't scrap their rotation policy Aus would be hosting the WC.
Then you have the problem where if Asia host the 2011, then 2015 is Aus, 2019 possibly England, 2023 SA/WI then 2027 back to Asia. Thus you have SA or WI and Aus missing out on the WC for a very longer period.

They should have kept the old rotation policy but clearly they are going after the money.

Actually yeah, its not about money all the time. Aus and NZ should get it, it been a long time and the pitches here will be top notch for the cup. And Obviously AUs and NZ have the best facilities and crowd are also pretty good plus a good place to be for holydaying in summers.

Aus also have the Aussie open currently going on so it can attract fans from there assuming the WC is held in Jan/Feb

you mean it always happen in Jan/Feb every year, although if it does than it could be an overkill for spectators and audience alike.

Well there was something about the Aus open being moved to march or something but I'm pretty sure its staying in Jan now. The Cricket WC if in Aus would have to be held around Jan/Feb as that is the summer season and holiday season for the students.

That might just happen. Correct me if I am mistaken, the Wimbledon was played simultaneously with World Cup 99 in England.

I wouldn't say the crowd has been too good in Aus and NZ recently. The Chappel Hadlee series and recently the racist taunts by Aus crowds to the SA players continue. But yes the facilities in Aus and NZ are the best in the world and should deserve the WC. If the WC would be played in Aus I feel it should also be played Jan/Feb despite the Aus open taking place at the same time. Or perhaps even schedule it to December/Jan.

hehe, you have no idea about the racist taunts that Indians or for that matter Asians crowd throw at visiting teams. I know cause I've been there to see it all.

It will be interesting seeing how they schedule the WC. They definitely should take advantage of the fans coming over to the Aus open. Best bet is to put it after the open so fans can stay longer.

Pitches, conditions and facilities for cricket in AUS are best in the world. It'll be great if WC2011 is hosted by AUS.
