I think MacLovin hates NZ for some reason. Not sure why. It might be my fault. He probably hates Vettori because he 1 maned Bangladesh in that last test series with what was it? A five for and over a hundred runs. He's a better batsman and bowler than anyone from Bangladesh. Dunno how he's not an all-rounder and only a bowler who can bat a bit.

Lol, yeah. I at BNG.
He would be twice as good a batsmen as BNG specialist batsmen, while at the same time be a better bowler than every BNG player by a country mile except Shakib, who he is still better than...

you got it all wrong, because NZ was my favorite team when Cairns, Fleming, Astle, and McMillan was there. this team was right above SA team with Klusner, Pollok, Kallis, Gibbs and Boucher on my fav list. those are the names that got me into cricket. i couldnt decide which team to pick, NZ or SA. but NZ jersey always made it easier for me

and i still have that black and blue jersey that i got back in 2000. it doesnt fit me any more, but i still have it. just b/c i disagree with you NZ guys, just b/c i think Kallis is better then Vettori, doesnt mean i hate NZ.

and i will just let the Bangladesh insulting part slide by...

It's not really that, how can you say Vettori is not a pure all-rounder?

thats only my opinion..and like you said we never agree, so obviously we have different opinions. you dont like it, but thats the way it is.

i think he is a bowler, who can bat (i took out the "a bit"). he has been forced to contribute with the bat, b/c of his top orders failure. he should bat on top, 5/6 and keep the same avg. then i will take him seriously as a batsman, b/c NZ could really use a bat in the middle order

Yeah he moved up to 6 for the OD's. But then he got injured, this is his first match back I assume if he was fully fit he would of moved up the order in the tests as well.

Yeah I hate it when Aussie always complain they are re-building, when we lost more of our team than they did. The only players that remain from that kind of early 2000's NZ side is Vettori plus Bond and Tuffey, id you include them.
We lost all of our batsmen...

the poll should be Pollok or Vettori.. then Vettori is better, way better with the bat. idk about the bowling, b.c i dont know how to compare a strike bowler, with a main spinner. but they are both good at it on their own ways..

plus Vettori is a better skipper then Pollok.

They just showed Harris in a one day game. Loved his bowling, was such a funny action. Looked like a pie chucker but was amazingly hard to get away.

He scored a hundred for Canterbury at 40 years old today. The guy is a legend.

I don't think Vettori will win many tests on the back of either a batting performance or a bowling one. Kallis on the other hand has done this many times. Plus, his decline in form is probably due to age.....

But Vettori is playing a ripper knock now

Haha, who did New Zealand lose? Fleming? That's it, no one else in that team was worth a pinch of shhhh save for Bond.

One drawn test series and one day series where the Kiwis allowed South Africa to get a bonus point to KO Australia from the finals and all of a sudden they are regarded as the greatest NZ team of all time.

And the reason for that isn't Vettori's fault, it's the other 10 players he plays with's fault. We don't win many games. When we do he's 90% of the time a big part of it. Kallis has the luxary of playing in one of the best ODI and Test sides, probably the second best over the last decade.
