It couldn't have been the slider, it spun too big for that. Perhaps it was either the standard leggie or an orthodox spinner, Vettori style.

| International Captain Member Since: Mar 2009 Location: Glasgow, Scotland National Team: Scotland, Sri Lanka Domestic Team: Durham | it did hit a crack but it must have been still spinning that way. if he could re-produce that much spin off any deck, both ways he'd be unplayable, even if he pre-warned the batsman he was going to bowl it. You'd struggle to find a muralitharan doosra that turned that much. I guess it could have been a top spinner that, coming from round the wicket might have been slightly angling in anyway when it kicked off an uneven piece of ground. | ||

Krejza may well have a different technique to the doosra, but it will be useless unless he perfects it to a state where he can deliver it when he wants to. We saw one example of it working, but we have no idea how many times he tried to bowl that ball in that innings and didn't succeed at it.

![]() The only way I can spin it "the other way", is by changing my delivery midway from an offy to a leggy.

The annoying thing is sometimes my doosra or my leggie makes a different sound. Most of the time I just bowl standard orthodox finger spin ala Daniel Vettori, or slow spinning leg cutters.... But I'm a fast bowler in matches. Only practising spin so I can concentrate on my batting and still bowl part time.

I can sometimes get a lot of drift with my offies whilst I never get any drift with my leggies.

Doesn't mean I'm any good at them. But it is possible!
