I have nothing but respect for the English team I think they are a world class team and they are not disrespectful when they win and I think they have many players on there team that are true gentlemen.

The current bunch of players i'm not a huge fan of, but the team they had late nineties, early 2000's I loved. I quite like the West Indies also but don't get to see them play very often.

It's not only an underdog thing, but they had players that I really liked and admired for their grit and determination and eventually founded a good side - Campbell, Grant Flower, Andy Flower, Houghton, Carlisle, Guy Whittall, Paul Strang, Bryan Strang, Streak and Brandes. The last generation of a decent team was quite good with potential, the likes of Johnson, Goodwin, Blignaut, Ervine, Taylor and Taibu. They've some talented cricketers, just a shame what happened in Zimbabwe. I respect a few other sides, Sri Lanka bar the one with a dodgy action and who likes cheap bangles wickets. Sick to the teeth of India and Pakistan for different reasons, India for overhyping non-cricket (T20) and their ridiculous adulation of their players, Pakistan for their history of ball alteration, their biased umpires of a certain era and their tantrum at the Oval. The aussies are too full of themselves, noone minds confidence but their's is long past the point of arrogance. South Africa are ok, bit petty in the last series but ok nonetheless. West Indies are a shadow of their once great selves, but I feel they were far too brutal with their four man pace attack. They'd be winning a game easily, but if anyone dared to stick around they'd pepper them with short balls until they caved - even if a number 11. The aussies did that against us in 1993, Caddick showed willing with the bat and they just dug it in short and at him. (and other instances) Kiwis peak and trough too much, a shame as at times they had a side with the likes of Cairns, Fleming, Nash, Vettori and Parore. As for Bangladesh, they may be willing but are they able? Not their fault, but I'd rather see or have seen Kenya, Holland, Canada, Namibia, Bermuda or plenty of others who would have promoted the sport in areas it would have done more good. Ireland and Scotland are right up there, but promoting them would not promote cricket very far afield. It's already popular in UK, TV needs to promote it further but it's not going to reach a huge number more than it does already. Mainland Europe, Africa, N, C & S America and the far east could do with it more. All giving it Bangladesh does is give too much power/sway to that area and will probably end up with them getting too big for their boots, arguing over money and splitting from ICC. Perhaps the only thing stopping that happening is the Pakistan-India hatred/rivalry/whatever you want to call it.

| 1st XI Cricketer AKA: Hari Member Since: Nov 2009 Location: Jharkhand,India National Team: INDIA Domestic Team: CSK, Jharkhand, Manchester United | Can't say I really have a soft spot for any other team but I do cheering on other players from other countries, take for example when Kallis was batting against India I was hoping he could score a century as he is a real treat to watch , or when Bangladesh is playing I enjoy watching in hope that Shakib and Tamim both have a blinder or if England were playing against India I'd enjoy rooting on KP to score a ton as I do think when England bat for a long period of time when Pietersen fails it is rather boring. The main players I enjoy cheering on are probably: Jacques Kallis Kevin Pietersen Chris Gayle & Dwayne Bravo Shakib Al Hasan & Tamim Iqbal Tilakaratne Dilshan | ||

| International Cricketer AKA: Nick Member Since: May 2008 Location: Check Your Bed ;) National Team: South Africa Domestic Team: Cape Cobras | New Zealand How can you hate players like Vettori and Bond? Great players who play in the right spirit. Too bad they aren't as good in tests and always seem bogged down by injuries. | ||

Too bad the current team doesn't have any players like those great entertainers. Also get along with aussie fans away from the great, great bunch best touring fans by a mile. I like watching sachin and sehwag bat and gayle from the west indies.
