I thought with the Aussie's getting knocked out so early they were going to be in a tough group?

Last time I checked, South Africa were a half decent side.

Wait, why have we got two in 2 years? Wasn't it meant to be every 2nd year?

Overkill to the max. And why have the Windies got it? They failed miserably in 07. Let the bloody Aussies have something.

And Bangladesh were seeded?

They were also knocked out early weren't they?

If it had continued on its 2 year cycle it would have clashed with the 50 over World Cup in 2011. After this one there will be one every two years.

That is strange. Bangladesh should not be seeded. Hmm.

The ICC was able to schedule the 2007 World Cup in the same year. Why not this one?

Pakistan to win it. You heard it here first.

India to at least get to the semis since the WI pitches aren't that bouncy.

If I recall, it was because the Windies were supposed to host the Champions Trophy, and as it was called off in 2008 and will be later this year, they wanted a major tournament of a different format in between 2009 and 2011, from what I understand. That's still 6 years away. England have had every major tournament in the past 10 years. SA has had 2/3 in the space of 4 years and the Windies will have had 2/3 in 3 years by next year.
