Australia last held a World Cup in 1992 and supposedly the next one we host is in 2015. Talk about a long gap! Especially with some countries hosting events all the time.

Making it to the second round should be automatic qualification and as it is now all test playing nations are in to. Last edited by Ari; 5th July 2009 at 10:28 PM..

| International Cricketer AKA: Jason Member Since: Oct 2006 Location: NSW National Team: Australia Domestic Team: New South Wales | Yeah they've obviously changed the seeding rules. I prefer this way, since there is no group of death based on what happened 2 years ago (which is what happened for this years tournament). | ||

Still will be the group of death but not as dangerous compared to this year where we had the runners up and semi finalist. Still winning the comp didn't help Pakistan much they ended up in the hardest group and SL the same. Surely they should have been in one of the qualifying teams group.

But we can never underestimate Bangladesh so Australia can't get too overconfident.Last edited by piriyanth; 6th July 2009 at 02:31 AM..

| Staff Member AKA: SciD Member Since: Feb 2006 | If everything goes as per script all 8 top teams will be in Super 8. Dont see anything wrong with that. Not too bothered about Saffers being in our group. We play better against fancied sides rather than those which are given no chance. | ||
