OK then here we are finally at my first tutorial . This is a tutorial to Convert the .vp6 files from EA SPORTS CRICKET07 and other similar games into .avi files. Here's what you need: EA Converter CONVERTING .VP6 TO .AVI FILE: First Download all the above files. Install the EA CONVERTER. Then Open the Folder in which the .vp6 files are present. Quote:
Now you'll find these two files eabigunp.exe and eaconv.exe Now go to RUN dialog box and Type "cmd" (without quotes) to start the DOS Prompt This is the best resource to help newbies to use DOS Click here[note: i didn't write it] Now in the DOS prompt go to the directory in which you have the .vp6 files. Then when you are at the location type "eaconv.exe file.vp6"(without quotes) where file is the NAME OF FILE you wish to convert. Quote:

But first convert the files xsellep.vp6 and attep.vp6 becoz they have the previews of RUGBY 2005 and Cricket 2005.What are these for???? It IS contain bugs. It WILL crash. I KNOW that. For playing vp6-avi files, go to www.on2.com , download and install VP6 codec. Processing... Done! ![]() cheers Done![]() The process is the same but replace the path that i gave for example with the path of your Cricket 07 directory. Any help needed PM me. ![]() Part 2: Converting Avi to VP6:- Tools Needed: 1)Sound Xchange 2)Sound Xchange GUI 3)VP6 Builder 4)VP6 Codec 5)Virtual DUB 6)AVI File First install the VP6 Codec you downloaded and restart if required and then install Virtual DUB(usually .zip file) then unpack VP6 Builder and then unpack Sound Xchange GUI and Sound Xchange into the same directory So here we begin:- Step1:- Create a Movie or Just Select any Clip to be converted..The video file must have the the width and height as 640*480..Then Make the Video Clip For About 7-9 seconds only...(see at the bottom to know what happens to a clip above 9 seconds) Step2:- As the Heading Says no matter whatever the filetype of the video is you have to convert it into .avi file before proceeding. Step3:- Now Open the Virtual DUB...and then Quote:

at that place and DO NOT CLOSE Virtual DUB because you are not done yet ... Now Go to Quote:
Step5:- Interesting Step of All.... Open the Sound Xchange GUI (Note: Sound Xchange and Sound Xchange GUI must be in the same folder..) and browse to the WAV file you exported and then in the Output Give the Path you wish to store the File and also At the end of the Path give the extension as .sng and not .dat!!! and now Click Create and the .sng file would be created at the location you gave.. Step6:- Now Open VP6 Builder and for: i) Input Video File Browse to the .avi file you created with Virtual DUB and select it. ii) Check the Box Audio to include Audio. iii) Input Audio File Browse to the .wav file you created with Virtual DUB and select it iv) Output Video File Browse to any location and give any filename v) Now click GO! button to start the compilation and after it has finished a Message will appear as "Convertion Complete" Now its done... Now all you have to do is to rename the file to the file you wish to overwrite the list is given at the end and then copy the Created File into The Code: Cricket2007 root directory\Data All BACK UP YOUR FILES BEFORE DOING ANYTHING TO IT! And if some is making a mega patch like BlackMagic's patch they can use this to convert the .vp6 files into .avi and if i find out the method to convert .avi into .vp6 they can use it to create their own intro movies and all that stuff.
