You can find the installation instructions and information about these patches in their respective threads. The links to all the patches are in the first post.

Uhh dont think so. No one has cracked the audio files for commentary yet mate. Weird, considering people have done it for other EA games.

Best combination?

hey all
im trying to find the best combinations of ai patches to make the game and scores more realistic
im going to list pros and cons of all that ive tested
at the moment, the config that has impressed me the most has to abbh's exe.

Navneet's Twenty Twenty patch- Very fun to play, but it seems the opposition smash everything, and their bowling is always full, and yorker, or there abouts.

Abbh Modified EXE- A lovely stroke config, which works flawlessly, and i cannot find any problems

Tutsi's Gameplay Patch- Again, a very hard patch to play on. But the opposition never seem to bat sensibly :P I love batting on his patch, but bowling with it becomes very boring and catches are dropped regulary, and some of the fielders fielding is atrocious! But i am currently using this one

High Run Rate Patch- Never seems to work for me it looks awesome, especially the test run rate patch, but it also takes the place of other config files, so it seems that i can only play realistic test/50 over/ 20 over games, if it works

The Gas stroke files- Seems a little too easy, and only really for the 50 over games, and the ai still bat like snails.

Ive tried many a combination of these, but its really hard as they all focus on the same thing, so the .big and .fsh files end up replacing each other.
If you guys see that ive missed any patches that a worth it, please say
and some opinions of the best combination, or just one patch, to really improve C07 would be a great help

thanks guys
Btw- Atm, i am using Tutsi's Patch with the modified exe, and John adam's edges patch (will always be with me johnny!)

and i would just liketo say how appreciative i am for all the patch makers, you are all doing a fantastic job!

Having only just installed Cricket 07 on PC (after finally moving over from PS2) i
am unfamiliar with all the patches and modifications users have made avaliable among the community. With this in mind, i wonder if it would be possible to provide further explanation of what these patches/mods actually do.

In what way does the edges patch affect edges?

How do the stroke varations affect actual stroke-making?

Having been given the impression (from the users of this very forum) that the un-modded PS2 version is barely worthwhile (i still quite like it by the way) i'm interested to know how the PC version can be so greatly improved.

The bolded ones are the ones I use.

For Tests, this combo works for me. I re installed the game so it was clean then I downloaded the patches I wanted. Okay, anyways, for Tests I use:

AbBH's Exe - Good, need to use it for Line ups and rosters.
High Run Rate Patch (Test version)- I love it, makes them bat at 3-4-5 runs an over, perfect for a Cricket game!
John Adam's Edge patch - Just helps get edges because the opp. batsman never edge the bloody ball!

Now, ODIs:

AbBH's Exe - Good, need to use it for Line ups and rosters.
High Run Rate Patch (50 over version) - I love it, makes them bat to the time of the innings. 8 an over for the first Ten (well about there, depends how you bowl), 5 in the middle (depends how you bowl again) and 10+ in the last 12 or so (again, depend how you bowl).
John Adam's Edge patch - Just helps get edges because the opp. batsman never edge the bloody ball!
Gas' Stroke Files - Very good for ODI batting, also good fields for realistic ODI style fields.

OMFG, I had the PS2 version also, its nothing, and I mean NOTHING compared to a fully patched PC version! The AI can be so much better with the patches mate, improving chances of the CPU edging the ball using John Adam's "Edges Patch", improving run rates - because on the PS2 version they bat so slow in Tests and ODIs. Oh and stroke variations means where the ball goes to when the ball is hit. For example, with the un-modded game (like on your PS2) any stroke on the game can only go in 8 possible directions, with the Stroke Variation patches it makes so the ball can be hit any direction in the field making it more realistic.

Graphic wise, you can make it look so realistic with player faces, bats, TV overlays (like Channel 9 and Sky Sports), pitch ads, custom stumps and more!

Hope that helps!
