Last day of the domestic season and Durham need 1398 to win and as I can't be bothered to bowl them out I autoplayed it, funnily enouigh my bowlers got them all out for 42. But then a horrible grinding sound happened, and as the players were celebrating it froze, why?

Similar things happen when a team is still trailing in 2nd innings and they're all out or when a team has to actually get a follow-on.

Trawled through a number of pages and gave up although this bug is probably well known but I was wondering if any kind soul had any advice about how to deal with it: so the bowler comes up but just before he bowls the balls suddenly dissapeared. Umpire makes a gesture to say that doesn't count and then the game freezes. Happened to me twice now...any ideas. Thanks.

That's a tricky one haha, had you just installed a certain patch then it started to happen?

Mmmm funnily enough it only happens during a fifty overs game against Pakistan!!! I just save between overs now out of precaution but it hasn't happened since. Strange!!!!

As you said it happens with a game against Pakistan,try the player editor and check whether the bowling hand of the pakistani bowlers is set right.

You need to go to the player editor.In Pakistan squad see whether each player has correct bowling arm set.Sometimes it happens that player type is Right-arm fast,but the fielding arm is set as left.That usually causes such things.

Well the Ashes09 roster is only meant for you to play Australia v England.

I am such a prune!!! But I know I loaded a roster and have the players that are supposed to be in the teams these days: Mmmm, maybe Test2009 or something?????

Well I had a quick check over the Test09.ros and all seems fine, is it a certain bowler? How often has it happened?

It has happened three times. I am not sure whether it was the same bowler but it was definitely against Pakistan. I shall try to investigate a bit more. Not very helpful I know..........
