Has anyone come across the ODI over quota bug that existed in C2002/4 and 5 where bowlers bowled more than 10 overs in 50 over matches? I would be interested if anyone has as I don't get the game until next Friday so it may influence whether I buy the game or not judging by the feedback here.

Cheers,

Steve S.

All I need to do to get a wicket is bowl a fast ball...around 84+ on the ground below the batsman's feet and they almost always hit a catch towards backwards square leg or leg slip. So I just keep one fielder in each of those positions and one further down in case its hit more fine or something to stop the four. But usually I can get a whole team out under 20 runs by doing this... The funny thing is, this glitch has existed for every version since cricket 02

The AI in this game is crap... It doesnt put field placement into consideration.

And I really hate the fact that all of the international teams have false names and no name commentary besides england and aussie

Not technically bugs, but the fielding animations are still fairly poor. I've had a couple of catches at leg-slip taken by 1st slip. As well as the odd fielder picking the ball up and throwing it in the direction of the boundary, yet the ball coming out backwards and going to the keeper. Standard EA really.

Thanks for that, so in truth HB don't listen... may not bother with 07 now I played 05 tonight with it's third party patches and it's still great at least the bowlers can get changed before disaster strikes.

May opt for BLIC now!

...and another bug that existed since 02 "The famous ODI over quota bug" as mentioned above plus now there's no commentary names except for England and Aussie, that's worse than 05!

Cheers HB "whata rippa"

While batting if you hit the wickets on the other end. the fielders won't do anything, and you can run upto as many as 8 runs.

Angry

When someone gets out, if all of the names are too long (name of batsman who got out, name of bowler, and fielder who caught it for example) the number of runs he made goes off the screen to the right and you cant see it

also i noticed the duck problem where it just walks out randomly...not one someones out for 0...

On the 4th day-5th day of a first class or test match a spin bowler always get wickets from bat pad when the batsman plays a defensive push. At first I thought it was due to the rough or good bowling but after 3 wickets I realised it was yet another bug!

this bug has been in EA games since 2004 & you just have too have a silly point and a short leg and they'll hit it to them all the time. can't belive they haven't fixed it up

I think Kev has mentioned the commentary error when they say that's leg-byes and it goes down as runs to the batsman. Well what he didn't mention was an extra part to that bug. I had yet to score with Cook, and when that happened, I went and had a look at his spider and wagon wheel, despite it going down as batsmans runs, it didn't appear in either, and still had him on 0. So basically if that happens, none of the various graphical displays will show accurate numbers.
