Where there any key features you found disappointing or lacking completely? And did they mention anything about a worldwide release or just Eng and Aus

Cheers

Does the AI consistently score at 10 rpo in Test matches, on Test difficulty?

I guess try changing field placing and bowl good lines. It's actually good if AI is going hard at you but not sure in all kind of pitches its going 10 rpo. Whatever it is you have good challenge as a bowler now.

I dont think there is any need of getting worried about AI scoring at 7-8 RPO on Test difficulty as it was happening on Wii version. Tom mentioned that the Wii version is 'not a simulation' in one of his post. So hopefully it'll be only happening in Wi and not on PC (atleast).

But the important thing to note here is that many gamers would like to play test matches which doesn't sound practical online (atleast at the moment). So AI is a very important factor which cannot be ignored.

I wonder how the multiplayer lobby system of PC will work. Since it's an Windows Live game, will the servers be listed in a lobby like GTA IV?

I was yesterday playing BLIC05 and noticed one thing which was missing in BLIC07. When i see the replay, i can actually see the seam of the ball pointing according to the type of swing in BLIC 05. But in BLIC 07, all the balls are bowled with a scrambled seam and it looks weird in replay to see the ball swinging that much with scrambled seam. IF any of you had paid attention to it while watching replay then please lemme know

Exactly. Decent AI is vital for enjoyable Test Matches because, as you said, no-one is going to want to play a Test online. And since the game is supposed to be focused on a Test series, bad AI will kill the game. Dead.

@Those Who Have Played The PC/Xbox 360/PS3 versions:

How do you select fielding positions? I think it would be a great system if you could just click on the fielding positions display and that would take you straight to the fielding positions menu. Or even better, just drag/drop people on the fielding display without ever leaving the main game screen?

Yeah I really hope the AI is good for the PC version...not so big on online play, over here in SA broadband is pretty expensive and you only get a very small cap so playing online is pretty much out of the question.

Really hope the developers didnt go from the one extreme to the next, over compensating for the poor run-rates generated by the AI in BLC05/07 and made the Ashes09 AI uber intense. I guess in a way its better because it will be more challenging yet 8rpo in tests is pretty darn hectic.

If GUSTO/TRANSMISSION games haven't put in a save system for Test Matches online so the 2 people can save and continue the next day.....I just don't know what to say. I mean literally...what do I call them, mad?

EVEN real life cricketers get a nights sleep off in real 5-Day Test Matches. And we don't even get that?!

You are right m8 Its vacation time for me, still a full month to go before uni starts. But my question was valid, such small things doesnt annoy me much. What annoy me is that when i used to play multiplayer with my friends they always point out the scrambled seam problem in BLIC 07.

Yes it's one of those things which isn't hard to get right, so they might as well get it right.
