| Administrator Member Since: Jan 2006 Location: Geelong, Australia | Online Quitting - Please Read I am entirely sick of the pages full of people just abusing one and other that has been the result of the previous threads, which are now closed. I understand that people are frustrated at the amount of online quitting, but there is no excuse to be swearing at people and otherwise name calling. From the other perspective, labelling others as quitters because they dropped out of a game against you isn't conclusive. There are a huge number of reasons someone may disconnect, not all are aimed at cheating you out of a win. Overall, you know if you won a game or not, you don't need to worry about getting a W in a column. If you know you won, remember that you are the more honest player. This will be the last thread to discuss quitters online. I'd rather people stick to just posting when they find someone who stayed on and took a loss online, but if you want to mention someone who you think quit, mention their username, the match situation when they quit, whether there had been any signs of lag. If you resort to name calling, you will be infracted or banned (depending on the severity), and if this thread goes down the path of some of the others, it will be closed and there won't be any further discussion about quitters, at least not any naming/shaming threads. There will not be a list kept in this post. | ||

As ive always said that its best that we play with our friends or with people that we know of. This is a game & games are meant to be have fun with. There is no reason for us to get worked up over quitters. Its not like well get a Gold medal if we won a game or we came right at top of the rankings. Its more important that we have fun. I think people are just so frustated at the complete mess that has been made of the online game, that they're lashing out. These are not brutal forums believe me, but some people need a place to vent especially when the game publishers don't appear to be listening. When the the holy grail (the patch) is here if it has addressed the online problems then hopefully this will all disappear.

Now why will you close "Fair Players online" thread? Who was calling names or abusing players there? If people are recommending good players that you can play against then whats wrong in that? I dont see any reason for closing that Fair players thread. ![]()

I love pixel though, ill miss him and creed. For me, creed was just the start. I'm now following other forms of creed, including life creed. Sadly, no forum creed though. ![]() I'm stopping now. Next.

The noticable thing is that he last 9 wickets in first 9 balls and what makes it even more noticeable is that all 9 balls were bowled by part-time spinners. In his defence, there was quite some lag and he did quit before completion of 2 overs.

| International Coach Member Since: Jun 2006 | People often quit when they are losing and you are saying that we cant even take their names here? Three people quit on me just now they took their batting and ran away. Whats the use of online play then? Atleast by writing their names in online quitter thread we can save other people's time. And no one likes to play half matches whether they're winning or not, online play or offline, you can derive no pleasure of playing half a match. This way the quitters can keep on quitting on all of us, rather than quitting on one of us and that person saving the rest of the fair players' time. I do agree that thread was going downhill but I don't see this as much of a solution. The thing is that if A says B is a quitter but B gives a justification, most members do play against B unless B quits on them as well. The fact is that if B is indeed not a quitter, others who play against him will vouch for him and if he is one, then the others will point him out as well and we will know for sure. Thus it's not that big a deal if a member names someone. Atleast that's what I think. | ||
