News Form INDIA*
**************

Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh on Saturday said the injury on his finger injury has almost healed and he will play for the English county side Lancashire next month till the end of September.

He was supposed to join the county in the end of April, but an index finger injury that happened while he was on international duty during last month's one-day series in Bangladesh, delayed his departure for England.

Harbhajan had consulted Indian team physiotherapist Andrew Leipus and a South African specialist during his visit to Johannesburg recently for the IIFA awards.

"The special exercises recommended by a South African specialist have helped in the healing process and my finger looks fine now," the 22-year-old bowler from Jalandhar said, adding he enjoys bowling on England's bouncy tracks and is looking forward to a successful stint with Lancashire.

Harbhajan also said he would be attending the wedding of teammate Dinesh Mongia scheduled early next week

Yeah, and say where it comes from, cos it's breech of copyright if you don't, and if the website's lawyers found out, they could shut the forum down, and we'd all suffer!

Carl Hooper is only playing as a replacemen for Harbajan Singh, while Harbajan is injured. Read the domestic cricket thread, it's all in there!

But bhajji is a real devastating bowler in india. He is not very effective outside india.Anyway i dont think u have seen enough of bhajji as u live in england and i dont think u get indian matches there.

In England, if you have Satellite TV, you can watch just about any Test Match around the world!

I saw quite a bit of him when India toured here in 2002. He got 28 wickets in all matches (more than any other Indian bowler) at an average of 27.6

In any case Old Trafford (Lancashire's ground) has been a spinners paradise in recent years. Lancashire have been known to play 3 spinners sometiomes, even in one day games.

Harbajahn was India's best bowler on that tour though, so he should bowl well in English conditions.

I had to miss that final as I was travelling that day. I didn't find out what happpnened until I saw the next days newspaper. I couldn't believe it, easily one of the best ODIs ever.
