Red face

wat does every1 think of shane warney -

was he guilty in taking illegal drugs on purpose?
or was he non-guilty of taking those drugs on purpose?

personally, all i can say that he is rather stupid - not an illegal cricketer. he obviously wouldn't be dumb enough to take drugs that were banned!

I think he took the drugs by accident, but he is still guilty as all sportsmen and women have a responsibility to check what they're taking. If a banned substance is in medication then they have to report it to their sports governing body.

The drug can be used as a masking agent to hide other performance enhancing drugs.

And it doesn't make a difference if they're performance enhancing or not.

Ed Giddens was banned a few years back for using Cocaine and Phil Tufnell (who else) has been banned for using cannabis.

Well steroids, for example, can make youm stronger, so you could bowl faster, etc.

And as I said its not the performance-enhancing part.... it's the banned substance part.
