I've got a feeling that the winner of this UEFA Cup will come from the team who has played in the Champions League and became number three.

Also it will be handy to name the thread UEFA Cup Thread 2006-2007 (others too), unless we're supposed to talk about the UEFA Cup performances of all years.

Newcastle won 1-0. Siberski scored on debut.
Tottenham won 1-0. Jermaine Jenas scored.
Rangers drew 0-0
Derry City drew 0-0
Blackburn winning 2-1
Those are away from home.

West Ham losing 1-0

Palermo is a good side.

And Ajax went through although they faced IK Start. They won with 9-3 on aggregate 5-2 in Norway and home with 4-0.

Schalke is out, which is a surprise. Other notable teams who are out of the UEFA Cup: Marseille and Hertha Berlin.
