Should be a good contest considering that both teams will be heading into the series with series victories. Are Sky showing this series?

Shouldn't this really be in the same thread as the Tri-series thread? The VB Series was in the same thread as the South Africa in Australia thread back in january.

If the Saffers get their pitches right (green and bouncy) and bowl well they should win comfortabely.

The Series might just be shifted to a neutral venue.
This also means that the Tri-Nation may be scrapped or shifted too.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but is this Amla's comeback to the national team or was he around for the past few tours?

Nah, Amla was actually part of South Africa's victory over NZ a few months ago- he was a key player, too, leading the series averages if I remember correctly.

SriLanka would go as favorites at home.I dont understand the 2 test format though.Ideally a test series should be a 3 or 5 match series.

It just shows that in some countries such as Sri Lanka and NZ test cricket is not valued as much as ODI and 2020 games.

Most of the Lankan home tests are normally 2 match series.
Just as kodos has pointed out-test cricket may not be valued much there.

The tri nation series also involving India should be really interesting!

Frankly, I am not that concerned abt this test series. Sri lanka will give South Africa a good tough fight but I feel SA have the goods to win!

Well Smith doesn't look like he will get a game in anymore after pulling some knee ligaments in training so he's out for at least one part of the tour.

Should be quite interesting but Sri Lanka should win it.
