Australia's journey to Germany 06 - (BygFoot FM 2.0)

As the title suggests, this is a BygFoot Football Manager story, following Australia's bid to enter the World Cup and make themselves known in World football. For those who don't know what BygFoot is, its an offline manager game, and I only came to know of it's existence in the Computers and Tech section of the forums. I haven't checked out the game alot, so at first, I will be trying out features, and slowly, I will develop my story.

The players are not real, so there won't be any Tim Cahill, or Lucas Neill. The games start with Qualifications.

I will start the story tomorrow. The attached Image below has details on the 17 players in the current squad.

Shame there are no real players. Good luck though.

EDIT: I had trouble downloading the game. Can anyone help? Sorry if this is the wrong thread to ask.

Well, I downloaded all the seperate files on the site into a single folder that I created, called BygFoot. I then ran the exe files which extract. If you still have problems after that, then unfortunately can't help. Good Luck with it.

Football Federation Australia announces new Socceroos coach

Frank Farina has resigned as Australia's coach, a bold move, and FFA has announced the new Socceroos coach as Hamish Sarode. Sarode seems determined to take Australia into the World Cup.

Quote:
"I am very surprised that a sports enriched nation such as Australia has qualified for the World Cup once before. This is why, as coach, I won't be satisfied till we reach the World Cup, and even then, we need to perform well. But to get to the big stage, we need to work on the little features, and that means we have to concentrate on coming on the top of the Oceania qualification table, and then playing the home-away series against the 5th ranked team of the South-American table (i'm not sure if this part of qualification is in the game), and then, and only then, will we gain the right to play in the World Cup"
Sarode's first test comes with the first Oceanic qualification match, travelling to the Solomon Islands to play the home team.

Welcome for the first Australian World Cup Qualification match, against home team and fellow Oceania competitors, Solomon Islands.

It's a sunny day, and this match set to be a good encounter, and this will also be the 1st display fo Sarode's experience.

The Match: 1st half
Quote:
0:00 And the whistle has been blown, and the match gets underway

7:00 A series of turnovers sees Australia gain possesion, but suddenly, the Solomon defence gains the ball, and take the ball through a series of gaps, striker Vilfred gets it on the volley, and lines up. OH! That was close, a few Australian fans closing their eyes! A chance their for the Solomons to get the lead!

18:00 Poor passing from the Solomon Islands has seen Australia with alot of possesion, and Vanna of the Solomons attempts to get the ball back with a vicious tackle on Roberts. No card given!!!

24:00 First chance for Australia, ball kicked in to the centre and Audley weakly headers it, an easy save for Cornelis to take.

30:00 Brilliant passing here by Australia. Bagley kicks it to goalwards to Merrick who kicks it on the volley, and it swerves out of the reach of Cornelis! Goal!!! Aus 1-0 Solomom Islands!!!

37:00 Captain Kohler charges in thorugh the Solomon defence and unleashes, but a superb save from Cornelis denies Australia!!!

44:00 Half-time approaching, and a long cross finds the head of Audley, but the ball sneaks over the bar! The Socceroos are dominating!

47:00 The halftime whistle blown after 2 minutes of injury time. 4 chances for Australia, but only 1 was converted to a goal. The Socceroos possesion is at 62%.
So the Socceroos dominated the 1st half, but failed to convert their chances. The game is still evenly poised, and both teams will look to drive home the advantage.

Half-time Score:

Australia 1-0 Solomon Islands

Fergus Merrick 30:00

EDIT: It seems that my game doesn't save properly, so I can't continue this story, sorry. Since I can't continue, close this thread...
