I will put forward who I think should be in there. However, this is only my opinion, might be biased, and I don't have a great knowledge of everyone's team. Therefore, I will be update this regularly, after everyone's views, and also the players' form in the Battrick league. Firstly the squad of 16: 1) Gulzar Shahbaz : The Falcons 2) Josh Hume : The Cricket Geniuses Words cannot come close to describing this man. He joined the Cricket Geniuses only last season and has been is sensational form since then. His run of 11 centuries in 14 games when he first arrived gave the Cricket Geniuses a rock solid top order. He hopes to continue his run during this PC season too. 3) Derek Ainsworth: Brigg's Bullets The opening batsman with a career record of 21 centuries from 41 one day games, Derek Ainsworth is the true defenition of "Destructive" with a strike rate of 103 through his career and over 3000 one day runs, Ainsworth is more than capable of taking apart any attack on his day, as many a team have found out. Ainsworth truly is the star of the Bullets. 4) Derek Hoult: The Cricket Geniuses He's the glamour boy. Boasting of immense talent in both his batting and bowling skills, he provides a lot of depth and options for the Geniuses. He has the potential to amongst the top runs and wickets this season and wishes to prove all his critics wrong with some great performances. 5) Ryan Crouch: TT Lions Highly acclaimed by his coach, who believes that Crouch is arguably PC Battrick league's first true legend. A genuine match winner with bat and ball, he is the glue of the PC Superstars. 6) Gordon Gilroy: Old Wulfs This talented 20 yr old Australian has been in awesome form and averages 223.5 this season. A talented batsman, whose real strength lies in his stamina and concentration - if he gets in, you'll struggle to get him out. He is a destructive batsman, and devastatingly quick scoring when he gets in. His proficient leadership skills also make him captaincy material. 7) Dunc King: Everton 8) Barkat Zaidi: Hasis Legends 9) Darrel Swift: Bushwackers [i]The rock Bushwackers is built on. Is maturing into a fantastically steady player. Was promoted to captain his side at the age of 20 and provides a cool head far surpassing his years. The best is yet to come from this burgeoning superstar.[i] 10) Tuckett: A young prodigy in the making. A talented spinner who has the ability to bowl long spells, and isn't afraid of tossing the ball up or giving it some rip. At 18, he has a big future ahead of him. 11) Karl Barker: The Cricket Geniuses This guy is brilliant. He single handedly rips through top orders like a pneumatic drill through butter. Batsmen fear him and bowlers want to emulate him. He's is awesome form this season and hopes to lead the Geniuses to the top of the table. 12) Kenny Forbes: Brigg's Bullets The Aussie all-rounder has been amazing since his arrival in England at the start of last season, taking over 50 wickets in his debut season, and scoring close to 1000 runs. Despite a slow start to this season, Forbes still remains a key player for the Bullets, batting at 4 and bowling at 3, he is capable of amazing things on his day. 13) Jay Ryan: Bushwackers [i]No fireworks from this kid but has sent some of the best batsmen in BT and PC to the pavillion early with his metronomic bowling. Capable of bowling anywhere in the order, rumour has it he is dedicating his time in the nets to becoming an all-rounder!!![i] 14) Phillip Otto: Old Wulfs Bowling only RM, Otto may not seem the most fearsome of bowlers, but what he lacks in speed he makes up for in nagging accuracy and dangerous late swing. He's home grown talent and has taken a stunning 31 wickets at 11.10. He has also enjoyed success against PlanetCricket opposition, most notably his superb 7-25 against the TT Lions. 15) Lennox Rudi: TT Lions Another prodigy in the making, this youngster is tipped to be the next Crouch. A solid opener, effective seamer, and brilliant fielder. Another one with a future ahead of him. 16) Jermain Scholes: The Cricket Geniuses Perhaps underrated, Scholes has a lot to offer. Sharing the new ball with Barker, he provides excellent support and has the capacity to beat the best. Watch out for him this season, he's the dark horse The Final XI: 1) Gordon Gilroy: Old Wulfs 2) Gulzar Shahbaz : The Falcons (wk) 3) Derek Ainsworth: Brigg's Bullets 4) Josh Hume : The Cricket Geniuses 5) Barkat Zaidi: Hasis Legends 6) Darrel Swift: Bushwackers 7) Derek Hoult: The Cricket Geniuses 8) Ryan Crouch: TT Lions 9) Jay Ryan: Bushwackers 10) Kenny Forbes: Brigg's Bullets 11) Karl Barker: The Cricket Geniuses Let the debating begin!
