Second Round - Brazil vs Ghana

Brazil vs Ghana @ Dortmund, 27 June 2006, 1700

Brazil look to be finding form and Ronaldo looks to be back to his goal scoring ways. Can't see Ghana causing an upset here.

Ghana have been very very good in the group stages, and in fact did not look like a minnow team at all against USA and the Czech Republic.

Its just bad luck for them that they're up against the samba boys.
Go Ronaldo! Get another goal to become the highest world cup scorer in history!

Eat another 10 burgers to become the fattest player in World Cup history! .

Ghana did very well to get through but as people have said i can't see them beating Brazil unless they are extremely poor. Should be a good game though.

Mate, who cares about his weight as long as he's scoring goals! And if he doesn't score in a couple of matches, the fans just diss him. That's how the world goes round I suppose ...

He may be "fat" but he still plays well which is all that matters.

Always a chance if Ronaldo and Kaka have a bad game, since they are the performers. Ronaldinho hasn't been at his best at all. Adriano could be a massive threat as well.

And for the people who don't know it yet, Essien won't play this match since he received a second yellow card in the match against USA.

And yes, Brazil is predicted to win this match.

Well without their main controlling midfielder they'll be relying heavily on Appia to supply quality balls for their front men...I can see it being a bit of a rout unfortunately.

I feel that Robinho is more of a threat. In the last game, his and Juninho's presence added a lot more spirit to the Brazilian attack.

Ronalinho is not in his usual self. He's doing quite well in the mid-field, but they'll need Adrianho along with Ronaldo to start with.

I'm expecting a clean sweep from Brazil

I repeat that Robinho looks more likely to cause problems for Ghana than Adriano.

3-0!What a wrong!Such a wrong has not be done for at least 24 hours! Two dodgy looking calls, luck and some wayward shooting gave Brasil another lucky looking performance.Go Ghana, they were so impressive.
