Pakistani Pingers @ Old Wulfs CG Preview: Old Wulfs How they got here: Groups - The Wulfs had a tricky group, made up of themselves, Casino 36 and Challengers XI. Challengers XI put up little resistance in the Wulfs first game, which they won by 9 wickets. They then went on to get an important win at home to Casino 36 by 4 wickets, unfortunately they couldn't repeat this away from home, losing their 1st game by 6 wickets. A home win over Challengers again secured their passage. Casino 36 took the top position though, with a big win over Challengers on the last game moving them ahead on NRR. Final Table: Casino 36 9pts Old Wulfs 9pts ------------------- Challengers XI 0pts 1/4 Final - Unlike their opponents, the journey didn't stop there. Finishing 2nd in the group left them on the tricky end of the draw, where they could have got an in-form shane28688, a tough Aura, TT Lions or Casino 36 again. They drew the tournament favourites in the end, TT Lions. They lost the toss and Lions chose to bat. Otto was the hero, as he struck 7 times in his 9 overs, for only 25 runs. Crouch (103) and Bunn (94) were the only 2 to get decent scores as the Lions were all out for 242 inside the 50 overs. In the batting, Mason hit 87 off 97 to get the Wulfs going. They managed to reach the target with just 3 balls remaining. 1/2 Final - The semi saw Old Wulfs pitted against the Borncricketers XI. Again, the Wulfs lost the toss, this time being put in to bat. The captain Gilroy was the inspiration for their team, smashing 127 off 112. Fieldwick (84) and Heath (61) provided the backup as the Wulfs smashed 328 off their 50 overs on a slow pitch. When it cam to bowl Otto again did well, getting 3 this time. Hemmings, Griffin and Jarrett all got 2 as Borncricketers stumbled to 183 all out off just over 40 overs. Expectations: After the impressive and difficult way they got here they must be the favourites. If players fire like Otto and Gilroy in the knockouts, then theyll have no problems. Pakistani Pingers How they got here: Groups - The Pingers got an interesting and tricky group. They had tournament favourites TT Lions, and the best seed 3, JJ3's Preston Panthers. The Pingers opened their account in game 1 with a shock away win at the Lions by just 15 runs. After their week off, they continued with 2 excellent performances, back to back destructions of the Panthers. 7 wickets, then 10 wickets, results which practically knocked the Panthers out. At this stage they were the best performing team in the competition. Unfortunately though, the Lions came back to top their group with a 185 run win over the Panthers and went to the Pingers to pick up an 8 wicket win. Final Table: TT Lions 9pts Pakistani Pingers 9pts ---------------------- Preston Panthers 0pts 1/4 final - The Pingers were scheduled to take on Aura in what would have been a titanic match. Unfortunately though, voldemort, Auras Manager, became inactive and forfeited. 1/2 Final - A repeat of the 1/4 final, the opponents Antigua All-Stars was inactive and forfeited Expectations: It will be difficult, a lack of Planetcricket action may have contributed, but may also have given them a rest and let them scout their opponents. They will have to dig deep to get the win.

![]() Should be a pretty good match, if it weren't for the fact that the Pingers got through via two byes. Oh well, not their fault, I would like to wish them luck (FF doesn't need luck)

| County Captain AKA: Phil Member Since: Aug 2005 Location: Liverpool, England National Team: England Domestic Team: Lancashire, Liverpool, Sheff Utd. | I can't see me having much chance against the Wulfs, I've even got 600 on them to win! My only chance will be batting first and my top 3 making big scores then my bowlers all on top form
