| National Board President Member Since: Oct 2005 | Do other countries actually see england as a threat? ive always thought myself that maybe england are over rated here in england most people consider england as maybe the 3rd best team in the world so i was looking to see what people from other countries actually think of englands chences

My opinion is that I've never seen England as a World Cup contender in the years I've been watching football (16 years), regardless what other think. They struggled a lot in their qualifying matches for this World Cup and the first match wasn't a great match either for them.

.Being english i of course think England have a chance, as we are stronger than a lot of teams including Germany who have a very poor team this year.

| Staff Member Member Since: May 2005 National Team: Pakistan | Yeah, I know. That was the first time I was watching football. And I wanted Cameroun to get through. But after that I didn't see much performance from them. But the midfield on paper looks great, but Joe Cole, who is the least impressive on paper, was the better man. And I would like to see Germany facing England in the next round. ![]()

| International Coach Member Since: Sep 2005 National Team: England Domestic Team: Durham | Well after the Paraguay game I didn't see anything 'World Class' about England - but we have a much greater chance this time round for example: Players like Butt and Sinclair have been replaced by Cole and Lampard, not to mention Gerrard is playing. Rooney has replaced the likes of Emile Heskey Terry has replaced someone as awful as Danny Mills But why won't he get rid of Hargreaves?

| ICC Chairman PC Awards 2008: Best Senior Member and Best Post Member Since: Jun 2004 Domestic Team: Kent CCC | They are over hyped, but also on of the top teams in terms of talent. I think they can challenge the likes of Brazil. Sure they will need to raise their game to do so, but that's what half decent teams generally do when playing top class oposition. Remember they beat Argentina last time around and only lost to Brazil because Seaman was seeing stars after banging his head just before Brazil's first goal. They will need so luck but then whats wrong with that? Englands chances this time around hang on 2 strikers who arent fully match fit, Rooney and Owen. Final note, why does everyone want to get rid of Hargreaves, we've actually not seen much of him. Sven tends to bring him on too late to make a real impact anyway. Give the lad a chance. |

Beckham has had 2 great seasons with Real Madrid since hsi first season, personally anyway. He is the best passer of the ball in world football imo, not to mention being the most consistent player at a set piece for the last 10 years. On the Hargreaves issue Kev, the problem I have is I think Carrick is a better holding player, and in 32 caps England Hargreaves has never made me srand up and think 'WOW'. Even though many of them have been 10 minute appearances.

| ICC Board Member AKA: Sid Member Since: Jun 2005 Location: Kolkata,India National Team: India,England Domestic Team: Somerset, and Liverpool(In Football) | I think that England have it in them to beat any team in the world on their day. They have a solid defense,a world class midfield and a pretty good forward lineup which becomes even better with Rooney coming back.Although my only concern is the coach and if he is postive enough and beleives about his teams chances. If the other countries dont see England as a thread imo they will be in for a surprise.

To say he does nothing is stupid. 5 of our last 7 goals have been from his set pieces. Without him Real Madrid would be so much worse of aswell.
