well..no problem in continuing with this thread

btw, you could do primary as well as secondary fielding positions !
e.g

Hayden's Primary Position is the slips. while his secondary position
will be something else say...Short Leg ? not sure as i havent seen
him play for a while.

G. Jones is the Wicket Keeper
Bell fields at silly point sometimes

Warne fields in the slips

Bravo-Cover-Gully(more like Jonty Rhodes when he was around)
Sarwan-slips/short leg/silly point
lara- slips/cover/mid-on/off (now he's captain again)
edwards-square leg/long leg/ fine leg (dangerous to have on the boundary )

Ill tell u just for info, that Flintoff is a great fielder anywhere...he has safe hands to go in the slips, but also a great arm and quick to go on the boundary...the only place he cant go is backward point because hes not quite good enough

nice thread...yeah, these would just be default or preferred positions, but obviously you can position them anywhere when you customise your field.

here's India

Fielding pos also vary.for eg, In powerplays, some kaif stands in covers, while in ending matches, he stands around deep square leg, while to spinners , he stands around batpad.


Gautam Ghambir - slips/short leg/ leg gully.
Dravid - Slips/ mid on / mid wicket.
Tendulkar - mid on/ deep point
Kaif - covers / deep square leg
Yuvraj - Point /

Raina -

Dhoni - Keeper
Sehwag - slips / covers
Pathan - Fine Leg / mid off
Agarkar - fine leg
Powar - deep square leg
Harbhajan - fine leg / deep covers
Patel - fine leg
