Cricket Coach: "Early release feedback"

From Cricket Coach website:

"Firstly thanks to everyone who has downloaded and purchased the title so far, whilst we are having some initial 'teething' problems it's nice to hear that people are enjoying the game.

The biggest issue many users are having is related to the 'acquire keyboard' bug, this is down to a small oversight in the DirectX code that initialises the game. Whilst we agree this is a complete pain, it isn't serious, and will be sorted very shortly.

We're in the process of creating a page with frequently asked questions, this will give solutions to most of the problems people are experiencing. This page should be available fairly soon.

It has been questioned why we would release a version of the game with several bugs present, the honest answer is that we haven't experienced any of the bugs mentioned whilst playing on our own systems. We acknowledge these problems exist, and have begun to fix them.

The great news is that we're not about to dissapear, new improved versions of the game will be released at regular intervals over the coming months. So you can be sure we'll keep developing the title and adding improvements for the foresable future."

I hardly think the keyboard issue is the biggest one. The fact that the game is more ridden with bugs than the insect house at a zoo is the biggest issue.

Somehow they say they dont experience any of them yet everyone here does?

They need to download the game themselves and play the version released for download to make sure its correct.
The one i downloaded and have trialled(now expired) said version 3.0

It's weird though, I've only encountered 2 bugs.

The bug with the wrong scoring, which only happens when a team follows on. And the FOW box coming up when no wicket has fallen.

Nice to see a fairly early reply, and at least they listen to the feedback on here unlike EA, who could've done with it.

OD games need to be higher scoring though, alot more.
Occasional 220 plays 220 appears, more often than not it's mid 100s.

The fact that people experienced bugs within 10 minutes of downloading the game makes it look like an early version has been released by mistake.

So you think they released a early version of it, then realised and pit a patched version up afterwards?

I'm quite enjoying the game and I have no doubt that take if they fix the bugs and change the OD scores to be realistic, the game will be a big success amongst Cricket fans.

Sureshot do you autoplay or play every ball?
I play every single ball very first match using WA i got to 20/0 off 3 overs then i went to autoplay section and accidently autoplayed.
Was a 50 over match and WA ended up scoring 270+ and won by 20+runs.

Next match i played every ball and here was my score after day 2 (WAvsQLD) http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/Sman-21/hmm.jpg
So im completely new to the game and scored that high also massive score in the SA vs Vic game.
Oh yeah and after all the random crashes i finally got to finish that match and i won by bowling Queensland out twice and winning by just under 500 runs.

In the news section though i noticed all the low scores for other one dayers.
Trial peeriods over now so wont be able to try anymore games.

there is still a lot of work to be done here... but the game is nice nonetheless... i would like to see more accuracy and realism in the 2D graphics... seems a bit rough and i cant understand why the ball keeps swerving when hit by the batsman...

funny situations with run outs when batsman are in the crease and the ball is with the fielder...

just another question for all the people who have actually bought the game... what are the things available in the full version and not in the demo...

i could not make adjustments to field placing and line and length etc... is this available in the full version...

Well...as I have said on CricketWeb...in the final beta there were none of the problems that have been seen in the last 24 hours. The scores were realistic, the changes accurate etc.

2 options then....

Either they are telling porkies or they released the wrong version?

I can think of a third.

That being that they are telling the truth - they did not experience any of the errors; that the game they released had been changed slightly; that they released the right version.
