Play under a captain.

I thought about this, and I decided to post it... I think it wouldn't be too bad at all. Your thoughts?

What like play under his instructions, his mentality, tactics, etc? It'd be cool if, for example, the captain demanded a certain run rate to be achieved after a certain amount of overs and you don't reach it, where he reacts differently depending on his personality. Or if he instructs you to bowl in a certain corridor and you spray it around you'll be taken off. How he disciplines his players, he might have an inspiration gauge which determines his influence on the team, etc: things like that?

But then you are faced with the prospect if you are an opener out for a duck of just watching the whole of the innings without being able to do anything again until you are into the field for the opposition sites innings.

We can always skip over that part.I kinda a like the idea,but just as an additional game mode.It would be great to get the winning runs,catch the winner or drop the match or to bowl the most crucial person out in the opposition.In addition we should also be able to convey a field of our choice/decide a course of play with the other batsman that you currently play with(i.e you can tell him to attack and that you will hold up an end or vice versa)
