Kenya are a decent side. Better than Zimbabwe and Bangladesh in my opinion.

They are when they fire, like they showed in the last world cup, it will be a tight series but I think with all the problems Zimbabwe have had in the past couple of years, Kenya will win 3-2

Zimbabwe have cut the series to 3 ODIs.

There is a reason for this.

As you know, ICC ODI rankings 7-10 at the end of March play in the qualifying round of the ICC Champions Trophy.

Teams have to have played 10 ODIs to be on the table. Kenya have currently played two.

They have 3 ODIs scheudled against Bangladesh in March, and one against the Netherlands.

So 5 v Zimbabwe, 3 v Bangladesh and 1 v Netherlands gives Kenya 11 games, and a place on the table, probably ahead of Zimbabwe, thus kicking Zimbabwe out of the Champions Trophy.

Now Cricket Zimbabwe claim to have cut the series to 3 ODIs for "financial reasons". But considering cutting it to 3 ODIs secures Zimbabwe's place in the Champions Trophy, I think we know the real reason.

Well, I don't know who to support. Zimbabwe have talent, but are missing the real players who fougt the opposition -Taibu, Streak and Blignaut- and the rest are, well, lets say Zimababwe have lost what attracted me to it. They'll probably get whooped.
Kenya are a really good side. They have the best Non-test playing batsman, Tikolo. Odoyo and M.Suji are pretty good fast bowlers, and Otieno is a pretty good Keeper-Batsman. Don't forget the Indian imports Ravindu Shah and Hitesh Modi. I haven't been very impressed by the rest (Aga, Oyango, Kamande, Ouma, Brijel Patel) but hope that they do well here.

Well, good news. The ICC have given Zimbabwe Cricket a bit of a slap on the wrists and have essentially forced them to put the series back to five games.

^ Thanks for sharing those comments that I am sure didn't really add anything to anyone's day, except to cause them to develop some despise.

This series may be close. If I remember correctly, a few Kenyan players had got into a fixing controversy a few months back. How did that sort itself out? In other news, I would rate Bangladesh higher than both of these countries.

Those players were Odumbe, and Modi/M.Suji(I think). Odumbe doesn't play anymore. Too bad, was a good batsman and offspinner. Very cunning cricketing mind.
