how do i really download this> i get a rar, but when extracted get no icon to click lol.

I tried GIMP but it was too confusing for me, I may download again soon. Photoplus 6.0, it's basic I know but it is quite good www.freeserifsoftware.com, this website also has stuff like Drawplus and 3D Plus, quite a good free graphic program website.
