Techincally Lara is ARGUABLY THE GREATEST...he had it all...his first test match hundred in australia against australia in just his 6th test was a DESTRUCTIVE 277 with 38 fours at a strike rate of 74...not to forget it also saved west indies in that match...now 277 isnt even the overall H.S. of their career for many batsmen like sachin etc....and if you want me to stretch this lara vs tendulkar debate i can do so by showing you some facts...lara is the only batsman in cricket who has got all scores of 100,200,300,400,500 in first class cricket...sachin hasnt got that...lara has 9 double hundreds against sachin's 5 if iam not wrong...lara has 2 triple tons as well in test cricket out of which one is quadruple...and lets not forget sachin hasnt got any hundred in the top 10 fastest hundreds in tests or odi's....lara is there in both the lists...
all i was trying to say is sachin is a GREAT batsman but he is not a demolisher like lara...
there are genuinely GREAT batsmen....there are GREAT hitters

I am afraid with regards to One day Records Lara is way behind either Sachin or Sanath. Again in tems of greatness as a batsman Lara and Sachin are about the same and ahead of Sanath . Butwe are talking of Master Blasters not the greatest batsman.
That you could not comprehend such a simple stuff is your problem not mine.
Everyone globally knows Sachin and Sir Viv are officially called the Master Blasters and not Brian Lara. I am sure Cricket experts have done enough homework and researches to arrive at that this conclusion.
The following One day Career records of both also supports that although this may not have been the only criteria of their assessments.
Sachin Tendulkar : Matches : 425 ( Avg : 44.37, SR : 85.66,100S : 43, 50S : 91, 4S: 1818, 6S: 176).
Brian Lara: Matches : 299( Avg : 40.48, SR : 79.51,100S : 19, 50S : 63, 4S: 1035, 6S: 133).
The above clearly shows as far as One day is concerned Sachin is way ahead of Lara in Average, SR, 100S, 50S, 4S and 6S.This is as clear as Crystal.
In regards to tests match both are about the same.
Overall they are tied.
But we are talking about who is the most destructive .
Clearly Sachin is the winner by all means.
