I was surprised that Lara is not in that list. How in the hell. He was such an entertainer. Always loved his batting. Sachin-Lara's rivalry for the no.1 batsman ranking was like Borg-McEnroe rivalry in tennis(none of them was better than other and nothing between them was common, contrasting styles, just remembered McEnroe was lefty and Borg was righty what a coincidence) |
Hey, Max, you have something of Sachin's in your mouth. I think he wants it back.
I'll just do un-retired players (not counting IPL/ICL).
Admittedly definition of 'master blaster' was formed by Tendulkars so my selections are of attacking batsmen who are elegant at the same time.
Australia: Ricky Ponting
India: Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh
England: Kevin Pietersen
New Zealand: Ross Taylor
West Indies: Chris Gayle (

), Ramnaresh Sarwan
Pakistan: Shoaib Malik
Sri Lanka: Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene, Sanath Jayasuriya
South Africa: AB De Villiers, Hashim Amla (though he's not that aggressive)
