Stevens in career form


Adelaide utility Scott Stevens is certainly in Career best form, with another Best on Ground display in the Showdown on Sunday.
26 possesions and 5 goals, in a dominant display, had the Forward gain full Brownlow votes, and saw his team pick up the victory by 29 points.
Stevens featured with 5 goals, while his fellow Forward, Brett Burton who kicked 3 goals, it was hard for the young Power to stop.

The Crows won Showdown number 22. But with the Power inaccuracy, it was a no contest in the end, when the Crows kicked away in the first quarter.
Stevens who kicked 4 goals in the first quarter looked very unstopable. But coach Sumner decided to change the team around a bit, and rested Stevens, and then put him down back just to give some game time to the younger players.

It was a hard fought contest, like all Showdowns are. But it was the Crows turn to celebrate. Brad Symes has certainly settled into this Crows side, as he again was the Crows leading disposal getter, picking up another 31. While expected future captain, Nathan VanBerlo was very good, picking up 26 disposals off the wing.
For the Power, Michael Pettigrew through his name into being one of the best on ground for the Power picking up 30 disposals, while spending some time on the dominate Stevens.

It was the Crows 2nd win from their first 3 starts. New coach Sumner was very pleased with the win.
