22 Year old Hayden Sumner is taking over in sport. Sumner just signed a 2 year deal with the Melbourne Victory in the A-League (soccer).

Now Sumner has singed up with the Adelaide Crows in the AFL. Sumner has always been a Crows fan ever since he was a young man. Now he gets the oppourtunity to coach the team after Neil Craig departed from the club at the end of last season.

Sumner was asked a lot of questions from the media wether he can handle 2 coaching jobs at the same time, and this is what he had to say.

"Well it will certainly be tough work for me. Going from one sport to another. It will get pretty confusing at times, and i won't be able to get much sleep trying to pick sides, making transfers and doing that kind of stuff. But unlike anyone else, i am going in with this with a positive attitude, and i am really looking forward to the challenge. I mean yeah sure, i will need to rely on the assistant coaches/managers at some times of the year, but that is just common sense. But i will try and do most of the work myself. I love both the games, AFL and Soccer, and it will be fun coaching.

So will Hayden have the power and fight to coach 2 clubs at the one time. Will Hayden have to give up one sport after he knows how much effort and time he has to put in? How can someone possible be able to coach 2 clubs (in different sports) at the same time? Join in him his quest.

Key Moves

I will be making some major changes to the Adelaide Footy club. Certainly the playing positions of some certain players.
First of all Ben Rutten will become our Full Forward. We all know the Crows have lacked a Key marking forward for many years since Modra left, so i will give the big 'Truck' a run in the Forward line to see if he can provide a spark. If that doesn't pan out, i will put Rutten back in defence, and try Scott Stevens up in the Forward line. I will try and develop a key forward out of Sellar or Tippett this year as well.

Andrew McLeod will spend more time in the forward line. Has played mainly in defence since mid 2003, but McLeod who is coming towards the end of his career will certainly benifit from playing in the Forward line. It creates class and speed in the forward line, so let's hope he can bring some magic into the offence.

Brad Symes will become a huge factor in our midfield. With McLeod going into the forward line, we need someone to go into the midfield with a strong body and speed. Symes doesn't have the speed McLeod has, but he certainly does have the skill and strength. He will be a major factor, behind Scott Thompson in our step forward.
